site.btaSofia Forum Discusses Future of Electric Industry


The circular economy, the green transition, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence in the industry are among the main topics of the forum Electroindustry 2025, which will start at the Hilton Hotel in Sofia on Thursday at 10 am, the organizers said. The forum is organized by the Executive Agency for the Promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises (EASME) and the Bulgarian Association of Electrical Engineering and Electronics (BASEL).
Experts, representatives of business, academia and institutions will discuss how the Bulgarian electrical industry can adapt to modern technological and market challenges.
"The sector is facing major changes related to digitalization, energy efficiency and data security. The electrical industry is no longer just about manufacturing, but a combination of smart technologies. It's important to not only do things better, but smarter - with more automation and innovation. Among the highlights of the programme are topics such as sustainable production and waste reduction opportunities, cybersecurity in the industry and mechanisms to protect business systems, as well as the role of artificial intelligence and automation in Industry 5.0. International best practices for the development of the electrical industry in Bulgaria will also be presented during the forum, the forum organizers add.
The panel discussions will be attended by leading experts, including Lyudmil Daskalov (Legrand Bulgaria), Senior Commissioner Vladimir Dimitrov, Prof. Zhivka Ovcharova (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology), Dr. Jan-Niko Zaech (INSAIT) and others. The event will be opened by Belgian Ambassador to Bulgaria Paul Lambert and MEP Tsvetelina Penkova.
