The National Assembly voted during its Wednesday sitting on a proposal by GERB-UDF for the establishment of an ad hoc committee on the exception for the Lukoil Neftochim Burgas oil refinery from the EU ban on Russian oil. With 151 votes in favour and 33 against, it was decided that the committee should ascertain the economic effect for Bulgaria of the requested and granted derogation enjoyed by Lukoil, as well as the alleged failure of the outgoing Minister of Economy and Industry, Bogdan Bogdanov, to fulfil his obligation to enact the Compensation of the Costs of Consumers for Transport Act and the consequences of this failure.

The MPs voted to establish the committee on a parity basis but failed to elect a chair.

The roll call of the committee was voted en masse. GERB-UDF will be represented by Aleksandar Ivanov, Georgi Georgiev, Krasimir Valchev, Hristo Gadzhev and Desislava Trifonova; Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria will be represented by Radoslav Ribarski, Vasil Stefanov, Ivaylo Mirchev and Iskren Mitev; the Movement for Rights and Freedoms will be represented by Bayram Bayram, Jordan Tzonev and Elvan Gyurkash; Vazrazhdane will be represented by Boris Aladzhov, Stoyan Taslakov and Dimitar Gyurev; There Is Such a People will be represented by Aleksandar Valchev.
