The Architectural Building Week 2024 exhibition kicks off at 1 p.m. on Wednesday in Exhibition Hall 1 of the Inter Expo Center in Sofia, the organizers said. Within the framework of the forum, taking place from April 3 to 6, an exhibition for large construction machinery and mechanisation ATEST Expo and a Green Energy format focused on energy efficiency are also organised. 

"Participants will meet the teams of over 180 exhibitors from Bulgaria, France, Spain, China, Poland, Ukraine, Turkiye, Greece and Romania. In addition to the halls, the exhibitions are also spread over the outdoor areas of the Inter Expo Centre and will cover over 12,000 sqm. Inter Expo Centre is the organiser of Architecture and Construction Week and Green Energy, while ATEST Expo is organised by the Association of Traders of Large Construction Equipment (ATEST)," the organizers say.

Architectural Building Week will focus on each segment of construction, including finishing, doors, windows and facades, software, various materials, steel and timber structures, construction equipment and machinery, and landscape and industrial solutions.

For the second year, Green Energy focuses on energy efficiency, renewable energy and recycling. The main highlights of exhibitors are linked to different solutions, smart systems and technologies for heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), thermal energy, digital solutions, waste management and recycling, remediation of contaminated soils, clean air, local wastewater treatment plants, and solar technologies.

ATEST Expo brings together leading companies from the production, import and distribution of large construction equipment. Among the machinery to be exhibited are: earthmoving equipment, presses, vibratory hammers, drilling rigs, excavators, graders, dozers, shredders, loaders, cranes, forklifts, mining equipment, among others.

The ARCHINOVA ARCHITECTURE AWARDS 2023 ceremony will also take place during the exhibitions. The event will recognize for the 10th time the best products in architecture, urbanism and landscape design in Bulgaria. ARCHINOVA ARCHITECTURE AWARDS 2023 are organized by. "More about the house", THE BUILDING and CITYBUILD.BG, in partnership with Inter Expo Center.

The "Brand of Bulgaria" awards will also be part of Architectural Building Week. The selection focuses on established and prominent brands that are driving Bulgaria's economy, in addition to those contributing to small and medium-sized businesses.

The Bulgarian Construction Chamber (BCC) Wednesday organizes a discussion on the opportunities and perspectives for companies in the construction sector concerning digitalization, training, technologies, materials and approaches, energy efficiency. The forum will open at 1:30 p.m. by the Chairman of the Board of the BCC, Eng. Ilian Terziev. The Bulgarian Association for Insulation in Construction will present a guide for the design and implementation of thermal insulation systems for buildings. There will also be a series of company presentations throughout the days.
