When political crisis becomes the new normal, a platform such as Powers Summit becomes critically important, said Digital National Alliance President Gergana Passy during this year’s edition of the forum here on Tuesday.
Powers Summit features representatives of the Government, political parties and the business community, who will discuss the topic of security in all its dimensions. The forum is co-organised by the Webit Foundation.
This year’s main themes are healthcare as national security, energy security, defence and innovation, education as an investment in security, financial security, as well as digital and cyber security. Three discussion panels are planned: “The Industry Speaks”, “Business Leaders Speak” and “Power Listens”.
"Formats such as this are becoming a guarantor of the institutional memory we need to preserve - so that we know where we started and how far we have come, who said 'I heard you' and then forgot, who was honest and who was not, during that period when one still cares about what our society will look like," Passy said.
In her words, in times of anger and uncertainty, discussion becomes ever more important. This is why this year the organisers have united around the theme of security in all its dimensions – because security runs through every sector in order to guarantee tomorrow in the way every parent expects and seeks security for their child.
Powers Summit is organised by the Webit Foundation and the Digital National Alliance, with the support of the Representation of the European Commission in Bulgaria.
