site.btaKozloduy NPP to Hold General Exercise on November 26

A general exercise will be held at the Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) on Wednesday, the press centre of the NPP said on Tuesday.

The measures set out in the Kozloduy NPP Emergency Plan are to be implemented, alongside a partial evacuation of workers at the site and testing of the Kozloduy NPP's local notification system in the surrounding settlements. 

The emergency drill and exercise will be monitored by a team of international experts from the World Association of Nuclear Operators. The observation will be part of a large-scale Peer Review, the main phase of which will be held in February 2026.

The general exercise is in accordance with the approved annual schedule for drills and personnel training. Such an exercise, with the participation of several institutions, is held every five years.
