Barry Brand is the new chair of the British Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce, the BBCC said on Tuesday. He is the founder of coaching company Dare to Care More and cooperates successfully with two British-Bulgarian companies, which work in the field of architecture and active family entertainment.

Kamelia Slaveykova was elected Vice Chair. She chairs the Board of Directors of Shell Bulgaria and has 30 years of governance experience in the company.

Brand has long-standing experience in building brand strategies at M&C Saatchi and Saatchi in London, Europe, the Middle East, and Bulgaria, where he has been director of innovations.

After the election, Brand said he was honoured to be elected Chair of the BBCC, one of the largest and most influential business organizations in Bulgaria. He noted that over the past year, in his role as BBCC Vice Chair, he has been actively involved in the organization's activities, particularly in supporting and developing events. He is delighted that he will now have the opportunity to expand his contribution to the development of the BBCC in the context of the continuing strengthening of economic cooperation between the UK and Bulgaria.

The BBCC is one of the largest chambers of commerce in Bulgaria with over 260 members – British and Bulgarian companies. One of the Chamber's main missions is to develop business relations between the UK and Bulgaria and to support companies in developing and growing in both markets.
