The Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) signed a partnership agreement with the Academy of National and Information Security (ANIS) in Plovdiv on Monday. The agreement was signed by BTA Director General Kiril Valchev and ANIS President Prof. Georgi Manolov.

This is BTA's 50th agreement with a Bulgarian university, Valchev said, adding that under the agreements, universities systematically provide information about their activities to BTA, which disseminates it free of charge in Bulgarian and English. There are 51 universities and higher education institutions in the country.

Bulgarian universities need to be known to families so that they encourage their children to stay and study in Bulgaria, said Valchev. He pointed out that through social media alone, the news agency reaches 200,000 people who regularly use BTA. The BTA provides internship opportunities both at its headquarters in Sofia and at national press clubs across the country, said the Director General.

Prof. Manolov announced that in the next academic year, ANIS will launch a separate Master's programme in information security, which will train professionals who will be able to work in all fields. He emphasized that higher education still faces the problem of how to increase practical training for students, and that internship opportunities are very valuable and useful. Another Master's degree planned for next year is Artificial Intelligence.

Throughout the 23 years of the university's existence, BTA has been the only media outlet that has systematically, thoroughly, and consistently covered our activities, without missing a single opportunity, said ANIS President Prof. Georgi Manolov. He emphasized that the agency is one of the few that reports on everything that happens in the field of higher education. He emphasized that the BTA is one of the few that covers everything that happens in the field of higher education. Prof. Manolov pointed out that everything that is happening in the academic life of the academy - scientific activity, conferences, projects, and communications with foreign partners - deserves coverage.

The BTA Director General presented Prof. Manolov with a printout of the news that the agency published on December 3, 2003, about the first day of classes at the newly established College of Economics and Administration. The last news published by BTA about the higher education institution was on October 4, when the new academic year began, now as an Academy. Valchev presented Prof. Manolov with a copy of the Bulgarian News Agency's LIK magazine, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary, a medal from the Bulgarian National Bank's Mint, and a postage stamp issued by Bulgarian Posts to mark the 125th anniversary of BTA.
