For the second consecutive year, the largest international art and culture conference in Bulgaria, SAF Talks, will be held as part of the Sofia Art Fair, organizers said.
The conference will bring together leading figures from the international art scene, including directors of major institutions, curators, and legal and cultural experts.
The three-day program includes lectures, panel discussions, Q&A sessions, experience sharing, guidance, and a wide range of thought-provoking conversations and topics presented by over 15 international speakers from the Netherlands, France, Spain, Hungary, the UK, Austria, and Bulgaria.
From October 2 to 5, more than 30 galleries and collectives from 12 countries will showcase works by emerging and established artists during Sofia Art Fair 2025.
The fair will feature: over 4,500 square meters of exhibition space, indoor and outdoor installations, including large-format sculptures, a unique VR/AR zone with projects specially created for the event, SAF Talks discussions and artist meetups, curated tours led by art historians
Sofia Art Fair is the first contemporary art fair in Bulgaria, created with the mission to position the country on the global cultural stage. Its inaugural edition in 2024 attracted over 4,000 visitors, featured 29 galleries and collectives, and showcased the work of more than 90 artists.
An impressive 90% of exhibitors made sales, highlighting the fair's strong market impact.
Through its SAF Talks program, consisting of panels, lectures, and professional meetings, the fair actively fosters international cultural exchange. Even in its first edition, SAF Talks drew over 1,100 viewers and participants, organizers reported.
SAF continues to grow as a vital platform for contemporary art in Southeast Europe, creating meaningful dialogue between local and global art communities.
