The Jam on the River International Music and Arts Festival will held for the seventh consecutive year in the Troyan village of Debnevo (Northern Bulgaria) from July 30 to August 2, the organizers told the Bulgarian News Agency on Tuesday.

The festival programme will include the participation of the Pleven Philharmonic Orchestra with Maestro Yordan Kamdzhalov, accordionist Veronika Todorova, clarinetist Atanas Marinov, composer Minko Lambov and guitarist Tsvetan Nedyalkov, amongst others.

“We believe that freedom is culture. And freedom is culture because it creates a space for creativity, for expression without fear, for an encounter between differences and for art that is born not by rule, but by inspiration,” said Veronika Todorova, Founder of the festival and participant in the musical programme.

The festival will open with a concert by the J-City sextet, before a concert by Duo Chellqanino will be held on July 31. On August 1, the premiere of Minko Lambov’s symphonic project with the Sofia Symphony will take place, while on August 2, Koychev & Nedyalkov – The Teachers Project, a fusion quartet led by guitarists Veselin Koychev and Tsvetan Nedyalkov, will take to the stage.

The festival will close with the Musical Magic 2 project, where the Pleven Philharmonic Orchestra, under the baton of Maestro Yordan Kamdzhalov, will perform together with two world-class virtuosos, namely accordionist Veronika Todorova and clarinetist Atanas Marinov.
