site.btaSofia University Ranks 731–740 Globally Among 1,500 Universities

Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski (SU) has been ranked 731–740 in the QS World University Rankings 2026, the University's press office said here Thursday.

SU has been featured in the global ranking of top universities since 2013, the press release notes.

In 2025, 8,467 universities from 106 countries applied for evaluation. Of these, 1,501 were included in the final ranking. In 2024, the number of applicant universities was 5,663.

The evaluation criteria include academic reputation, faculty citation count, employer reputation, graduate employability, student-to-faculty ratio, number of international students, number of international faculty, the university’s involvement in international research networks, and sustainability. SU achieved its highest score in the graduate employability indicator, the University's press office added.
