The event is aimed at schoolchildren and teachers, students and lecturers, researchers, children and their parents, and anyone who would like to learn about the work of BAS scientists related to the development of micro- and nanoelectronics, optoelectronics, micromachining, biomedicine, energy efficiency, ecology, and the preservation of cultural heritage.

The Institute, in collaboration with Science Me Up and with the participation of researchers from the Institute of Astronomy and National Astronomical Observatory with BAS, Central Laboratory of Solar Energy and New Energy Sources (CL SENES) at BAS, and with the Astronomical Association Sofia, will run the fair to prove that science can be exciting, and that conditions for successful scientific career exist in Bulgaria.

Visitors will be able to see the ISSP laboratories and CL SENES' demonstration glass pavilion with circulating water flow that is unique for the Balkans; to learn about the history of the first scientific discovery in Bulgaria, the photoelectret state of substances, made part of everyday life through the photocopier; about the copper bromide vapour laser; to observe the Sun at its peak activity; to participate in physics, chemistry, biology and engineering workshops.
