The Institute for Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Technology (INSAIT) is the runner-up in the Multi-Agent Embodied Intelligence Challenge, held as part of the NeurIPS conference last week, the Institute’s press centre said.
The conference, held in the United States, is one of the world’s leading forums dedicated to artificial intelligence.
Among 18 teams, INSAIT - part of Sofia University - secured second place with its CoVLA method in a category where robots must control their own movements and work collaboratively.
This is a major challenge, as multiple robots need to coordinate without obstructing one another. This makes true machine-to-machine teamwork possible, the Institute noted.
The Multi-Agent Embodied Intelligence Challenge evaluates how well several robots can operate together in realistic scenarios, not just under ideal laboratory conditions.
