Medieval Cultural Heritage Festival Takes Place in Veliki Preslav

A medieval cultural heritage festival took place in Veliki Preslav, Northeastern Bulgaria on Saturday . It presented the daily life of the medieval Bulgarian capital. The event included an open-air museum, archery, medieval cuisine, demonstrations of combat techniques with various weapons, as well as urning, carpentry, coining, forging weapons, creating jewelry, making  pottery, knitting, hunting. There were also activities for children. The festival took place at the Veliki Preslav National Historical-Architectural Reserve, said Miroslav Slanev, head of the local chapter of the Traditsiya [Tradition] National Club.

The festival concluded with a concert by the Mihail Bykov City Wind Orchestra and the Prof. Veneta Vicheva Mixed Choir .
