Lisbon-based ethno band Malotira will perform in Sofia on April 4. The event will be hosted by K.E.V.A., the organizers from Lampa Collective say.

The concert will be held under the motto "Balkan Fiesta". The musicians, who are originally from Italy, Great Britain and Chile, will perform traditional melodies and songs in over 15 languages, including Italian, Greek, Albanian and Bulgarian. After the show, the band's accordionist, known by the artistic pseudonym ManiFiesta, will perform a DJ set.

Malotira play traditional music from the Mediterranean and the Balkans, interpreting the musical diversity of different European regions in a tribute to their shared culture. The band features percussion, accordion, violin, guitar and the captivating voice of front lady Elisabetta Marcora.

Malotira have been playing all over Portugal since they were established in Lisbon in 2020. Malotira performs an extensive repertoire mixing Greek, Italian, Slavic, Sephardic and Romani traditions. With music in more than 15 languages and dialects, the group creates an irresistible fusion, the organizers say.
