site.btaSofia Hosts Photo Exhibition to Mark Second Anniversary of Ukraine War

A selection of photographs, entitled “Ukraine: War and Resistance”, will go on display at Sofia’s Sredets Gallery on February 20. It will be on until March 1, organizers said. 

The photo exhibition Ukraine: War and Resistance is a travelling project by the Fulbright Academic Exchange Program in Ukraine and the Institute of International Education Kyiv Office, in partnership with Fulbright Bulgaria, the Bulgarian Culture Ministry and the US Embassy on Sofia.  

The organizers hope to grant Bulgarian audience a glimpse into the genuine perception of scenes, images and emotions from the first full-scale industrial war on the European continent, since WW2. The witnesses, bearing testimony to these historical events are the talented authors of the exhibition.   

Ukraine: War and Resistance presents the works of Fulbright alumni J.T. Blatty, Oleksii Furman, Brendan Hoffman, Serhii Korovayny, Joseph Sywenkyj, Emine Ziyatdinova, and Oksana Parafeniuk, a former employee of the Fulbright Program in Ukraine.
