site.btaPlovdiv Drama Theatre Receives International Achievement Award from Korean Theatre Association

The Plovdiv Drama Theatre has received the International Achievement Award from the Korea Theatre Association, the theatre’s team said on Tuesday.

The award was presented within the framework of the 63rd Korea Theatre Association awards ceremony, held in Seoul, in the presence of over 500 professionals from the Korean theatre community.

The distinction is awarded in recognition of the Plovdiv Drama Theatre’s overall contributions and achievements, its artistic excellence, long-standing traditions, and international acclaim, the Korea Theatre Association said.

The award was accepted by Director of the Plovdiv Drama Theatre Syuzanna Harutyunyan-Vasilevska. The official ceremony was also attended by Petar Kraytchev, Bulgaria’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to South Korea.

The International Achievement Award is an honorary international distinction presented annually by the Korean Theatre Association to theatre institutions or artists from around the world in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the advancement of theatre arts and international cultural dialogue.

The Korea Theatre Association is South Korea’s national professional organization for theatre practitioners, representing approximately 20,000 theatre professionals.
