Minister of Foreign Affairs Georg Georgiev met with Ambassador Nasri Abu Jaish of the State of Palestine for a farewell meeting in Sofia on Sunday. The discussion took place as Abu Jaish prepares to depart Bulgaria at the end of his term.

Georgiev thanked Abu Jaish for his commitment to advancing Bulgaria-Palestine relations and noted that, despite his relatively brief term in Bulgaria, Abu Jaish made a significant contribution to the development of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Abu Jaish thanked the Bulgarian government and Georgiev for their efforts to strengthen cooperation and for Bulgaria’s support of the two-State solution.

They also discussed current international issues, including the war in Ukraine and developments in the Middle East.
