site.btaPM Zhelyazkov to Attend Firefighters’ Day Ceremony in Sofia

Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov will attend the professional holiday ceremony of the Directorate General Fire Safety and Civil Protection in Sofia, the government press service said here on Friday. Wreaths and flowers will be laid at the monument to firefighters who died in the line of duty.

Representatives of the political and professional leadership of the Ministry of Interior, state institutions, and partner organizations will also be present at the event.

On July 20, more than 8,500 employees of the directorate celebrated their patronal holiday and the feast day of their patron saint.

A festive water blessing was held in the courtyard of the directorate in Sofia to mark the patronal holiday of Bulgarian firefighters.
