Bulgaria’s Deputy Foreign Minister Nikolay Pavlov received copies of the letters of credence from the Netherlands’ newly appointed Ambassador to Bulgaria, Arthur den Hartog, the Foreign Ministry press service said on Friday.

Deputy Minister Pavlov and Ambassador den Hartog reviewed bilateral relations and reaffirmed the commitment of both countries’ diplomatic services to strengthening political dialogue, expanding trade and economic ties, increasing business contacts and investment, and enhancing cooperation in education, science, research and development, innovation, and cultural exchange.

The sides also expressed a shared intention to deepen cooperation within the European Union, NATO, and other multilateral formats in areas of mutual interest. These include security and cybersecurity, border protection, and efforts to strengthen stability and resilience in the Black Sea region, the Ministry said.
