site.btaBeerfest Celebrates Tenth Anniversary in Stara Zagora

The tenth annual Beerfest opened at Zagorka Park in Stara Zagora on Wednesday, drawing crowds of music fans and beer enthusiasts.

Milena Zheleva, Deputy Mayor of Stara Zagora Municipality, welcomed attendees and thanked them for supporting the festival’s ten-year tradition, organized in partnership with Zagorka AD. She remarked on the distinctiveness of each Beerfest edition and remembered its origins in Fifth of October Park before moving to its current location. At the official opening, Olga Lavrenova, CEO of Zagorka AD, expressed pride in maintaining the festival together with partners for the past decade.

A unique beer-flavoured ice cream was launched as a surprise for attendees. The opening night featured live performances by Tino, Robi, and Molets, marking the start of five days filled with Bulgarian and international music acts.

The festival runs through September 7, with each evening dedicated to a different music genre. On Thursday, September 4, the focus is on rock, featuring performances by Downtown, Obraten Effekt, and D2. On September 5, hip-hop and trap artists Theo, INI, Dim4ou, Emil TRF, and V:RGO will perform. The program on September 6 centers on 1990s hits, with sets by Gocata, DJ Alex, Rumanetsa i Enchev, and international guest Nana.

The closing night on September 7 will begin with students from the National School of Musical and Performing Arts Hristina Morfova in Stara Zagora, performing songs by Michael Jackson, followed by a set from P.I.F., and concluding with Stefan Valdobrev and The Usual Suspects.

This year, festivalgoers once again have access to a variety of themed zones, with free admission every night. As is tradition, organizers have provided a free bus line to and from Zagorka Park, operating at night.
