Traffic is heavy for inbound trucks at the Kapitan Andreevo checkpoint on the border with Turkiye and for outbound passenger cars at the Kalotina checkpoint on the border with Serbia, the Border Police Directorate said on Wednesday.

At the border with Greece, construction works are underway on the Rudozem–Xanthi route. Greek authorities have posted signs indicating the area is a construction site and barring unauthorized access. Only passenger cars and minibuses up to 3.5 tonnes are allowed to cross at Makaza, Zlatograd and Ivaylovgrad.

At the border with Romania, traffic is normal at all crossing points. As renovation of the Bulgarian section of the Danube Bridge at Ruse continues, traffic is limited to one lane and is regulated by the contractor’s staff.

Traffic is normal at all border crossing points with the Republic of North Macedonia. Traffic has been restored in both directions at the Stanke Lisichkovo checkpoint.
