Later on Thursday, Parliament is scheduled to vote on the appointments of a new Governor and Deputy Governor of the National Social Security Institute (NSSI). Vesela Nikolova Karaivanova-Nacheva is the only nominee for the position of Governor, while Ivaylo Stoyanov Zdravkov is proposed for Deputy Governor.

Karaivanova-Nacheva has been jointly nominated by GERB-UDF and BSP – United Left. She currently serves as NSSI Deputy Governor. Zdravkov, also nominated by the same parliamentary groups, is currently the Regional Governor of Veliko Tarnovo.

The parliamentary agenda also includes a second reading of amendments to the Higher Education Act, which aim to reduce tuition fees for students in paid education programmes.

Lawmakers are expected to consider second-reading amendments to the Administrative Procedure Code, as well as revisions to the International Commercial Arbitration Act.

Additionally, a first-reading vote is scheduled on amendments to the State Property Act.
