site.btaCC-DB Co-chair Assen Vassilev Elected Deputy Head of Parliamentary Committee on European Affairs

The National Assembly on Friday elected Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) Co-chair Assen Vassilev as Deputy Chair of the Committee on European Affairs and Oversight of European Funds. The decision was approved with 162 votes in favor and 31 abstentions.

Stoyu Stoev from CC-DB was elected as a member of the Committee on European Affairs and Oversight of the European Funds. Venko Sabrutev was elected to replace him as a member of the Committee on Labour and Social Policy.

Vasil Stefanov was elected as a member of both the Committee on Demographic Policy, Children and Family and the Committee on Energy, taking over the seats previously held by Nikolay Denkov and Venko Sabrutev, respectively.

The changes in the composition of the permanent committees follow the swearing-in of new MP Vasil Stefanov from CC-DB, who replaced Kiril Petkov after his resignation.
