Health Minister Silvi Kriliov said Sunday that there are problems in the healthcare sector and his main task is to find solutions, not to comment on speeches and political wars that divert energy. Kirilov’s comments were related to statements by Continue the Change Chair Assen Vassilev that his party will table a no-confidence motion for policy failure in the health sector.
There are accumulated problems in the Bulgarian healthcare sector in recent years, Kirillov said. They are related to financing, organisation and specialisation, he explained, adding that a second or third attempt is being made to change the format of medical specialisation.
Kirillov said that since he has been a minister, he has answered more than 240 parliamentary questions and accepts this parliamentary instrument as important.
On Saturday, Continue the Change Chair Assen Vassilev told media that the formation will propose to its coalition partners from Democratic Bulgaria to table a no-confidence motion in the autumn. The three proposed topics are: healthcare, prices and incomes, and regional policy and demography.
