Customs officers intercepted three separate attempts at smuggling goods at the Lesovo border checkpoint, the Customs Agency said on Friday. A total of nearly 30,000 items of clothing, car accessories and perfume packaging of world-famous brands were seized by the officers.

In one of the cases, 11,000 car accessories and 6,600 paper perfume packaging with protected brand names was found in a truck driven by a Ukrainian citizen and traveling from Turkiye to Ukraine. During an inspection of the cargo of a Turkish citizen traveling to France, over 6,000 sports sets and T-shirts with logos of various luxury brands were found. In the third case, 5635 clothing items with world-famous brand names were seized in a truck traveling to Hungary.

Since the beginning of 2025, customs officers have detained over 100,000 commercial items at the Lesovo border checkpoint for violation of intellectual property rights.
