site.btaCC Leader Vassilev: Once Bulgaria Joins Eurozone, CC Will Decide Individually Whether to Support Every No-Confidence Motion
After Bulgaria's official accession to the euro area, Continue the Change (CC) will discuss and decide on an individual basis whether to support every no-confidence motion tabled against the Government, CC leader Assen Vassilev told journalists here on Friday. After July 8, when the final decision on Bulgaria's accession is expected to be taken, there is no longer a political decision not to support votes of no confidence, he noted.
Vassilev was asked whether CC would join the fourth no-confidence motion against the Zhelyazkov Cabinet, tabled by Velichie with the support of Vazrazhdane and Morality, Unity, Honour (MECh) over the Government's environmental policy. "We will consider the reasoning for the fourth vote," Vassilev added.
Earlier on Friday, the CC's coalition partners from Democratic Bulgaria said they do not expect a vote of no confidence before September.
Vassilev also told journalists that the most important news on Friday is that the Government, represented by Deputy Prime Minister Atanas Zafirov, has committed to draft and adopt legislation by the end of July to solve the problem with the low pay of young medical professionals. The National Assembly should adopt this legislation by the end of this month, Vassilev noted.
