Deputy Foreign Minister Elena Shekerletova received the copies of the credentials of the newly appointed Socialist Republic of Vietnam Ambassador to Bulgaria, Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet, the press office of the Ministry reported Monday.

During the meeting, the participants recalled that this year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and Vietnam. Both sides expressed their readiness to further develop bilateral relations in a wide range of areas of mutual interest. Trade, economic and investment exchange, tourism, cooperation in education, and people-to-people contacts were identified as promising areas, the statement said.
