The Council of Ministers adopted a decision to provide gratuitous humanitarian aid to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, the Government information service reported here on Wednesday.
In response to a request from the government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar for humanitarian assistance, and through the Union Civil Protection Mechanism, humanitarian aid is being provided by the General Directorate "Fire Safety and Civil Protection" at the Ministry of Interior, with a total value of 195,160 BGN. The aid includes: 50 tents (for 8–10 people each), 400 portable beds, 400 bedding sets, 400 sleeping bags, 400 pillows, 100 lighting devices, 100 kitchen sets (dishes), 100 foldable stoves (ethanol/wood fuel), 400 first aid kits.
The aid is intended to meet the needs of the population of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in overcoming the consequences of the devastating earthquake that occurred in the region on March 28, 2025.
The transportation of the humanitarian aid will be carried out with the assistance of a transport broker of the European Commission.
