Labour and Social Policy Minister Borislav Gutsanov Friday reported his Ministry's main achievements in the first 100 days since the Rosen Zhelyazkov Cabinet took office.
The Ministry's aim is not to lose any money under the Recovery and Resilience Plan, said Gutsanov, adding that BGN 1.3 billion has been allocated for social investments.
The number of trainees in digital skills programmes has been reduced from 500,000 to 260,000. Gutsanov said: "We want to significantly improve the quality of training, so we have adjusted some of the parameters." For instance, some changes were made in the exam to address concerns that the digital training programme was not being used in the most effective way.
Old people's care homes will be renovated under the Recovery and Resilience Plan, the Minister said. Plans include the procurement of 250 electric vehicles and charging stations to support social services such as meal deliveries. Food packages will also be distributed once the programme is finalized.
