Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) - New Beginning Floor Leader Delyan Peevski Monday said: "It is with deep sorrow that we have learned of the passing of Pope Francis, the head of the Roman Catholic Church, referred to as the 'Pope of the people'."

"In some of the brightest days for Christianity, we lost a unifier, a spiritual leader with an extraordinary sense of justice, a man of dialogue who showed his love for people regardless of their differences and advocated for peace in the world," Peevski said as quoted by the MRF - New Beginning's press service.

"On Easter Monday, let us pray that Pope Francis's journey to eternity is filled with light," Peevski added.
