site.btaSupreme Judicial Council to Hear Top Two Investigation Service Officials on Proceedings against Prosecutor General Geshev


The Plenum of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) voted unanimously on Thursday to hear Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev's deputy and director of the National Investigation Service (NIS) Borislav Sarafov, NIS deputy director Yasen Todorov and the officials who investigated the incident with the Prosecutor General on May 1.
The hearing will be part of the proceedings for early dismissal of Geshev's term, made at the request of six members of the SJC.
Geshev has made requests for evidence in the proceedings against him - among them to be attached orders for leave and business trip, media publications, a statement of the Zionist Federation of Bulgaria and others.
The SJC also voted to hear the Israeli expert who visited the country on May 1 and was taken to the scene of the incident.
