The Council of Ministers adopted a decision approving a draft Joint Declaration on Strategic Partnership between the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of Armenia as a basis for negotiations on Wednesday. The declaration reflects the shared commitment of both countries to elevate their traditionally good bilateral relations to the level of a "strategic partnership". The declaration also reaffirms Bulgaria’s support for deepening Armenia’s dialogue with the EU, the Government Information Service reported.
The document outlines the main directions for expanding and deepening bilateral cooperation between the two countries, including in the areas of transport, energy, and digital connectivity, trade and economic cooperation, innovation and high technology, as well as in sectors of mutual interest such as defence and security, the environment, science and education, culture, and tourism.
