In a greeting on International Roma Day, Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) leader Delyan Peevski said:  "I extend my greetings to the Roma community on International Roma Day, April 8.  As leader of the MRF, a party in which ethnicity and religion are not a source of division but a source of richness, I assure you that we will continue to support all people in a more tolerant and just society where there are no second-class citizens." 

He also said, as quoted by the party’s press office: "Stay healthy and preserve your history and identity so that you can develop your community and showcase the various nuances of your rich essence. Be proud of your cultural and spiritual values as an indispensable part of the integrity and diversity of the Bulgarian people."
