BTA will publish the names of the top-of-the-list candidates of every party/coalition for all constituencies for the April 19 parliamentary elections. The information about the candidates is provided by the respective political entity, the candidates themselves and other official sources.

Stancho Totov is the top-of-the-list candidate of Defiant Bulgaria National Movement for Pleven's 15th multi-member constituency in the early parliamentary elections on April 19.

Totov was born in Pleven. He completed his secondary education in his home city in 1991 at the Electrical Engineering Technical School in Industrial Electronics, according to information he provided to BTA. In 1992 and 1993 he did his military service, also in Pleven, at the Hristo Botev Reserve Officers School in the signal corps. He is currently a reserve captain.

He completed higher education in 1998 at the D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics in Svishtov in Finance. He specialised in Financial Management, profile Corporate Finance. In 2004 and 2005 he studied Political Science at St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo.

During the 2003-2007 term he was a municipal councillor on Pleven Municipal Council and chair of the standing Budget and Finance Committee. Totov is among the founders of Defiant Bulgaria National Movement and is a member of its Executive Council.

Since 2002 he has been engaged in food trade in Pleven and in the breeding and processing of snails. Stancho Totov is married and father of two 14-year-old boys.
