The AI-driven change is an inevitable part of people’s lives, but humans must be at its beginning and end, said Maria Mincheva, Deputy Chair of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry during the conference “From Social Dialogue to Action: The Path of a Just Digital Transition”. The forum was organized by the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria (CITUB) and took place at the union’s headquarters on Friday.

Mincheva commented that humans must take the final decisions so that they do not become a tool of AI, and AI must be a tool in their hands to increase the well-being of all.

She said that it is naive to think that the development processes can be stopped and that it is more reasonable to look for ways to adapt to the changes that are occurring. According to Mincheva, social dialogue for this adaptation is important, and the priority should be to prepare people to feel more confident, not threatened by digitalization.
