The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a warning on Monday that flights to Italy on December 17 may be delayed or cancelled due to a national air transport strike. The strike is scheduled to take place between 13:00 and 17:00. The Foreign Ministry added that air transport for humanitarian and sanitary purposes will be provided, as well as certain air connections with the country's islands.

Bulgarian citizens residing in Italy on a short- or long-term basis who are planning to travel by air during the specified period are advised to check their flight information in advance (including the list of flights to island areas) on the respective airline websites, and to allow sufficient time for airport transfers.
