Velichie Floor Leader Ivelin Mihaylov said Tuesday in a Facebook post that the party will not organize its own protests but will participate locally in ongoing demonstrations. He added that he supports the public demand for the Government’s resignation, saying that both MRF - New Beginning Floor Leader Delyan Peevski and GERB-UDF Floor Leader Boyko Borissov must be dismissed.  

According to Mihaylov, simply introducing a new budget is not enough. “Whatever budget is given to these thieves, they will steal again and do things we do not want,” he added.

“Bulgarian society and the state are suffering from a cancer - the mafia party, people who are dismantling the country in a mafia-like manner,” Velichie leader said.

Regarding recent arson and vandalism in Sofia during the Monday protest, Mihaylov said: “We are 100% convinced that this was staged by Borissov and Peevski to control the protest and create a narrative that would discourage others from joining and expanding it.” He added that the incidents were entirely orchestrated by those in power, noting that it is impossible for the police to watch individuals vandalize a GERB office for an hour without intervening.
