Protesters against the amendments related to Sofia’s parking zones temporarily blocked traffic on Moskovska Street in front of the Sofia Municipality building on Sunday. The protesters demand the withdrawal of amendments to Sofia Municipality’s Ordinance on Traffic Organization, which expand paid parking zones and increase parking fees and subscription rates. There is police presence in the area.

The demonstrators demand that parking zone fees not be increased and, in their words, that “the streets not be turned into parking lots”.

On Saturday, demonstrators temporarily blocked traffic at Sofia’s Chavdar Bridge near Vladimir Vazov Boulevard, again calling for the withdrawal of the proposed changes related to parking zones.
