MP Delyan Peevski on Friday called for swift action in the Lukoil case after the Gunvor company announced that it is withdrawing its offer to acquire the foreign assets of the Russian energy company.

The leader of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms – New Beginning stated that there are no problems and that fuel supplies to Bulgaria are sufficient. “We have stopped exports — people will have fuel,” Peevski said.

He argued that the hysteria surrounding Lukoil exists only within “the party of poodles”, obviously referring to the opposition Continue the Change party.

Peevski also commented on the draft state budget for 2026, saying that the financial framework will be adopted. “We stand by our position — everything for the people,” Peevski declared.
