Traffic through the Stanke Lisichkovo border checkpoint has been restored in both directions, according to the website of the Border Police Directorate of the Ministry of Interior.

The passage of light and heavy vehicles in both directions through the border crossing point was suspended due to the laying of a final layer of asphalt on the roads in the border area, where a complete reconstruction is underway.

According to data as of 6:00 a.m. Thursday morning, traffic is normal at all border crossings with North Macedonia, and the borders with Turkiye and Serbia.

Major repairs are being carried out on the Bulgarian section of the Danube Bridge near Ruse on the border with Romania, according to the Border Police. Temporary traffic arrangements have been put in place, with traffic passing through a single lane with a pass system regulated by employees of the contractor. Traffic is normal at the other border crossings with Romania.

Construction work is underway on the Greek side of the road between Rudozem and Xanthi. The Greek authorities have put up signs indicating that the area is a construction site and that no outsiders are allowed to enter the site. Only cars and minibuses weighing up to 3.5 tonnes are allowed to pass through the border crossings in the Makaza, Zlatograd and Ivaylovgrad areas, according to the Border Police.
