Police in North Macedonia have arrested a university lecturer at the Goce Delcev University in Stip on suspicion of receiving a bribe.
The 39-year-old lecturer, identified by the initials T.A. from Stip, allegedly demanded EUR 300 from a 26-year-old Turkish student at the university in exchange for passing an additional exam.
The student handed over three marked EUR 100 banknotes, after which police arrested the lecturer immediately upon receiving the money.
She is currently held at a police station, and the money has been confiscated. After the case is fully documented, criminal charges will be filed, the Ministry of Interior said.
