The governments of Bulgaria and Turkiye concluded a Memorandum of Understanding regarding cross-border airspace security operations, which was signed by the defence ministers of the two countries, Todor Tagarev and Yasar Guler, said the Ministry of National Defence of Turkiye on the X social network.

On Wednesday, Tagarev met with Guler in Ankara, and the meeting took place behind closed doors, Anadolu Agency reported. Tagarev is visiting the Turkish capital at the invitation of his Turkish counterpart Guler.

The Council of Ministers adopted a decision to approve a draft Memorandum of Understanding at the end of January.
