site.btaVP Praises Men's Volleyball Team for Helping Bulgarians Feel United

Vice President Iliana Iotova told reporters on Tuesday that the Bulgarian men's volleyball team brought the Bulgarian people the feeling of being united. Iotova's statement came after Bulgaria won the silver medal at the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship in the Philippines on Sunday.

Iotova, who is participating in the National Conference - Compass 2025, said: "The boys brought us everything we so desperately needed—to feel united, to feel as one, to have courage, self-confidence, boldness, to have enough composure to fight through difficulties, even when victory seems impossible."

She also praised Bulgarian Paralympian track and field athlete Ruzhdi Ruzhdi who won his 6th Shot Put F55 world title at the 2025 World Para Athletics Championships in India on Sunday.
