A specialized unit from the Burgas Naval Base, part of the Bulgarian Navy, carried out a reconnaissance and transport mission involving an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that washed ashore on Burgas's North Beach on Friday, the Ministry of Defence press service reported on Friday.
The operation was launched after a call to the 112-emergency number with a report of an aircraft spotted at the beach. After reconnaissance, the object was identified as an aircraft that did not contain explosive material and did not pose a threat. With the permission of the Chief of Staff of the Navy, the aircraft was transported to the Burgas Naval Base.
