“Together we can achieve more than each of us alone,” National Assembly Chair Natalia Kiselova said in a statement to BTA on the occasion of the 140th anniversary of Bulgaria’s Unification. She was an official guest at the 19th International Fair of Traditional Crafts at the Etar Regional Ethnographic Open-Air Museum near Gabrovo.

"Traditionally, Unification Day reminds us that only united can we achieve national goals, but it also shows that Bulgaria’s national interest can prevail over international pressures, as in 1885 when the Principality of Bulgaria united with Eastern Rumelia," Kiselova said. She recalled the words of Zahari Stoyanov, former Speaker of Parliament, who noted that revolution goes hand in hand with rules and legislation.

The Parliament Chair extended greetings to all Bulgarians on the holiday.

The International Fair of Traditional Crafts at the Etar complex is held under the patronage of Nataliya Kiselova and is organized by the Ministry of Culture, Gabrovo Municipality, and the Etar Museum.
