During the Sixth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament in Geneva, Bulgaria’s National Assembly Chair Nataliya Kiselova held a series of high-level bilateral meetings with counterparts from France, Israel, Slovakia, Albania, Tajikistan, and the Council of Europe.

Kiselova reaffirmed Bulgaria's strong bilateral ties with each partner and emphasized areas of mutual interest such as regional security, European integration, nuclear energy, and parliamentary cooperation. Notably, in her meeting with French Senate Vice President Loic Herve, she praised the long-standing Bulgaria–France partnership and thanked France for its support of Bulgaria’s Schengen accession and regional diplomatic efforts.

With Israel’s Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana, Kiselova underscored Israel’s importance as a global and regional partner. In her talks with Slovak Speaker Richard Rasi she promoted stronger inter-parliamentary dialogue. Speaking to Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly President Theodoros Rousopoulos, Kiselova reiterated Bulgaria’s goal to complete the Council's post-monitoring process.

Kiselova also expressed support for the EU aspirations of the Western Balkans in her discussion with Albanian Parliament Speaker Elisa Spiropali. Talks with Tajik Speaker Fayzali Idizoda focused on strengthening bilateral trade and building on recent cooperation following a high-level visit to Dushanbe in May.

A day earlier, National Assembly Chair delivered a speech at the forum, saying that opportunities alone are not enough: mechanisms must empower women and youth to drive positive political change. The Speakers’ Conference was preceded by the 15th Summit of Women Speakers of Parliament.

The Geneva forum, co-organized by the Inter-Parliamentary Union, the United Nations, and the Swiss Parliament, gathered over 100 parliamentary leaders to discuss global challenges and promote multilateral cooperation.
