Traffic is normal at all border crossing points with Romania, the Republic of North Macedonia, Turkiye, Serbia, and Greece, Bulgaria's Border Police said on their website on Tuesday morning.
At the border with Romania, the Oryahovo-Bechet ferry platform on the Danube suspended operations on July 2 for an indefinite period due to low water levels in the river.
Renovation of the Bulgarian section of the Danube Bridge at Ruse is ongoing. Traffic is limited to one lane and movement is regulated by the contractor’s staff.
At the border with North Macedonia, reconstruction continues at the Stanke Lisichkovo checkpoint, where crossing is limited to a reduced number of lanes, the Border Police noted.
Construction works are underway on the Greek side of the Rudozem-Xanthi route, where authorities have posted signs indicating that the area is a construction site and prohibiting unauthorized access.
Only passenger cars and minibuses weighing up to 3.5 tonnes are allowed to cross the checkpoints at Makaza, Zlatograd, and Ivaylovgrad.
