“I have one thing to say to the entire opposition in Parliament and to those in other buildings waiting for projects: elections will be held in the year when the four-year term ends,” Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) - New Beginning leader Delyan Peevski told journalists in Parliament on Friday after the vote on the third motion of no confidence in the Zhelyazkov Cabinet.

The motion once again failed. It was supported by 54 MPs, while 130 voted against it.

“Everyone needs to wake up, stop wasting time, and get to work for the people, do the job we were sent here for,” Peevski added in response to a question about his assessment of the vote and the debate surrounding it.

Next week, the plenary chamber is set to consider a fourth no-confidence vote, this one citing a “failure” in the area of environmental policy. It was initiated by the Velichie party and supported by Vazrazhdane and Morality, Unity, Honor (MECh).
