site.btaBulgaria and Japan to Hold Business Forum in Sofia on Infrastructure, Energy, and Digitalization


A bilateral business forum on infrastructure, energy, and digitization will be held between Bulgaria and Japan here on Wednesday. It is organized by the Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency, in partnership with the Embassy of Japan in Bulgaria, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO).
Within the event, Bulgaria's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Innovation and Growth, Tomislav Donchev, and Japan's Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, Akiyoshi Kato, are expected to sign a draft Joint Statement on Economic Cooperation.
The draft was adopted by the Council of Ministers on Tuesday.
Akiyoshi Kato, with a delegation of about 50 representatives of Japanese companies, began a two-day visit to Bulgaria on June 24. The main purpose of the visit is to explore investment opportunities and expand bilateral cooperation in strategic sectors.
