site.btaNearly 400 Foreign Students Study at University of Veliko Tarnovo


The St Cyril and St Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo has enrolled 381 foreign students this academic year, of which 140 are full-time students, the university's press centre told BTA. The number of EU citizens admitted to the university's bachelor's degree programs is 49.
The largest number of full-time students studying for a bachelor's degree are from Moldova, the Republic of North Macedonia, Serbia and Ukraine. By virtue of an intergovernmental agreement between Bulgaria and the People's Republic of China, Chinese students have been enrolled in several master's programs. Students from the USA, Turkiye and Ukraine have been admitted to the paid bachelor's program.
There are over 80 Erasmus+ foreign students for semester studies, and 30 for short-term mobility, from Spain, France, Albania, Latvia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Turkey, Poland, Hungary, Moldova, Serbia. The university has welcomed 70 foreign students under the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programmes this semester. The Erasmus+ VASCERN Summer School is attended by 38 students from Albania, Armenia, Georgia, Egypt, and Morocco.
